Goku is the strongest mortal warrior inUniverse 7and one of the most powerful characters in the franchise, able to compete against seemingly any opponent. A prodigy of combat, he learned an extensive amount of combat while a young child and would continue to near-effortlessly learn practically any new technique he encountered. His natural talent for combat along with his unwavering drive have taken his power to unprecedented levels. Ultimately, his might rivals the strongest mortal warriors in the multiverse, where at its peak is possibly surpassed only by theAngels, demonstrating how far he has come.

As an infant, he could drag large rocks tied to him while pursuing food and resist his adoptive grandpa's attempts to hold him down. When first meeting Bulma, he was unfazed when rundown by her car and shot, quickly picking up and throwing her car with her in it. He then easily saved her from a Pteranodon. He also defeated a pack of wolves and aBear Thief. When meetingYamcha, Goku fought on par with the bandit despite weakened from hunger. When facingOx-King, Goku's blows mildly bothered the massive man. After essentially performing the Kamehameha, he earned the respect of Master Roshi, offering to train him. Later, as a Great Ape, Goku effortlessly destroyedEmperor Pilaf's castle.

While training under Master Roshi, Goku consistently outperformedKrillinand amazed the teacher, including moving large boulders and running a 100-meter dash in 8.5 seconds. Goku and Krillin accomplished various grueling labors a day that outperformed an entire work-force of adults. By the 21stWorld Martial Arts Tournament, Goku's might could move a massive boulder. In the tournament, he breezed through the preliminaries while holding back significantly and developed various new techniques against his foes. AgainstGiran, Goku was unfazed by a sucker-punch that plowed him into the wall. Once regrowing his tail, he gained enough strength to break free from the foe'sMerry-Go-Round Gumand make the terrified foe surrender. AgainstNam, Goku withstood the foe'sCross Arm Diveand soon afterwards defeated him. In the finals, Goku fought on par with the seasoned veteran "Jackie Chun" and likewise replicate practically every maneuver his opponent used on him, narrowly losing by lack of stamina after a double count-out.

Against theRed Ribbon Army, he defeatedColonel Silverwith two blows, enduredMajor Metallitronuntil he powered-down, and outmatched theMurasaki Brothersat their own ninja skills to defeat them. He lasted long enough againstBuyonto exploit its weakness to defeat it along withGeneral White. OnlyGeneral Bluecould stand his ground against Goku, but eventually had to rely on his psychic power. When facingMercenary Tao, Goku was toyed with by the deadly assassin and only managed to mildly hurt the foe with his Kamehameha before being defeated himself. After training withKorin, Goku defeated Mercenary Tao with ease, able to block Tao'sDodon Raywith only mild pain. Goku then proceeded to single-handedly destroy the entire Red Ribbon Army's headquarters and all its soldiers. EvenStaff Officer Black'sBattle Jacketwas beaten easily.

To get help fromFortuneteller Baba, Goku faced her supernatural foes. He defeatedBandages the Mummy, who easily pummeled Yamcha, with a single blow. He defeatedSpike the Devil Manwith mild effort. He then fought on par with resurrected Grandpa Gohan, who resorted to grabbing Goku's tail to get an advantage. Once winning Baba's trials, Goku defeatedPilaf Gangin their unified mech-suit. In the filler, Goku defeatedbandits,grandmastersanddemons, albeit Goku admits that the last one was by luck. When facingTien Shinhan, Goku was able to easily dodge the enemy's attacks while hungry, although his growing appetite still lead to his defeat.

During the 22nd World Martial Arts tournament, Goku defeated a former champion inKing Chappain the preliminaries. He instantly defeatedPamputin the first match. He then gradually overwhelmed Krillin, even taking Krillin's Kamehameha with a single hand. As Krillin attempted to stop Goku by grabbing his tail, Goku revealed to have train it to be as strong as the rest of his body. Goku then defeated Krillin too fast for anyone but Tien to see. Against Tien in the finals, Goku proved able to counter virtually everything Tien used on him, forcing him to instead rely on a count-out by destroying the ring while he flew. Goku managed to knock out Tien beforehand, but still lost thanks to a car hit him as they both fell, making Goku land first. Later at full strength, he killedTambourinewith ease. He drove back an agedKing Piccolo, until he got serious. Thanks to drinking theUltra Divine Water, Goku'spotential was unlocked, able to fight on par with the King Piccolo restored to his prime, just barely defeating the evil Namekian.

Once meetingKamiandMr. Popo, Goku was easily defeated by the two respectively. After training under them for three years, Goku's all-around performance increased remarkably to surpass his teachers. In the 23 World Martial Arts Tournament, with weighted clothes, he effortlessly dodged all ofChi-Chi's assaults and defeated her with aKiai. He then gracefully outpaces Tien's various tactics. Once removing his weighted clothes, quickly defeated Tien. In the finals, Goku noticeably outfights King Piccolo's stronger reincarnation,PiccoloJunior, gradually wearing down the foe to ultimately defeat him and become acknowledged as the strongest in the world.

Five years later, Roshi was surprised that Goku's strength remained unchanged despite settling down. While Goku's might seemed extraordinary by human standards, it was revealed that by even Low-level Saiyan standards, Goku's power was considered extremely pitiful.Raditz, a Mid-Level warrior, considerably outclassed Goku. Even aid from Piccolo required a suicidal effort from Goku to defeat Raditz. However, Goku proved himself a late bloomer, as his true potential began to show after training withKing Kai. In addition to greatly exceeding the Kai's own combat prowess, Goku he easily defeatedNappaand fought on par withVegeta, a Super Elite warrior. Against Great Ape Vegeta, Goku was able to hold his own for a period of time and even damage the foe's right eye. After healing and training at x100 Earth's gravity, Goku's power far exceeded Saiyan standards. At only base power, Goku easily defeating or terrified most of theGinyu Force, promptingCaptain Ginyu, theFrieza Force's strongest warriors, to temporarily steal his body. He can also handle a x10Kaio-kenunfazed and endure a x20 Kaio-ken. After healing from hisBody Changeexperience, Goku's power increased immensely, and through various tactics and newfound drives, forced the powerful tyrantFriezato fight seriously at 50% of his true power. Once transforming intoSuper Saiyan, Goku completely outmatched Frieza at 100% power, calmly dominating the foe once fighting seriously.

After training with theYardrats, Goku's power increased enough to defeat both Mecha Frieza andKing Cold, as heoriginallywould have if not been forFuture Trunksdoing so. In their brief spar as Super Saiyans, Goku effortlessly deflecting all of Future Trunks' sword attacks with a finger, leaving the hydrid in awe, albeit Goku noted that Future Trunks wasn't fighting with true desire. Upon the arrival of the androids, Goku easily outmatchedAndroid 19before theheart virustook affect. Afterwards, however, Goku was gradually overpowered by the android. Upon recovering, Goku noted that he could not defeat theandroidsorCell. After training in theHyperbolic Time Chamber, Super Saiyan Goku showed far more power than any of his allies, enough that it nearly destroyed Korin Tower and shook the Lookout, all while at less than half his might. Against Cell, Goku fought on par with Perfect Cell, a feat no one could match (let alone top) butSuper Saiyan 2Gohan.

In the anime, upon meeting Frieza, King Cold, and Cell, they were all amazed at his tremendous increase in power, which he used to instantly defeat the entire Ginyu Force. Later, Goku fought in theOther World Tournamentagainst the greatest warriors in the history of Universe 7 with countless millennia-worth of experience each. With minimal effort, broke free fromCaterpy'sChico Tortureto overwhelm him, kept up withArqua'sunderwater assaultto eliminate him, and threwMaraikohout of the ring. In the finals againstPikkon, seemingly the mightiest warrior of Other World who effortlessly defeated Super Perfect Cell, base Goku had a slight advantage while Pikkon wore his weighted clothing and fought on par with the foe with Super Saiyan, eventually besting the foe to win the tournament.

Seven years later, base Goku easily carried 8 tons of weighted clothing for training and 40 tons as a Super Saiyan. At the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku easily qualified by hitting thePunching Machinewith a slight tap to make one of the top 16. When joiningShinandKibitoto defeatBabidi, base Goku easily fended offYakon, even void of sight from Yakon's pitch-black world. As Super Saiyan, Goku was noted to have 3,000kili- power to destroy several planets, which Goku used to his sheer energy to effortlessly explode the light-eating Yakone from sheer overload. Goku also said he can defeatDabura, a foe surpassing Super Perfect Cell, without too much difficulty. Vegeta noted that Super Saiyan 2 Goku surpassed Gohan's power when he defeated Super Perfect Cell. Vegeta's envy/disdain at Goku much greater growth in seven years made him to accept Babidi'sdark magicto final surpass Goku. To which, Super Saiyan 2 Goku still fought evenly against Super Saiyan 2 Majin Vegeta. This fight also surprised Babidi in how quickly Goku'skiunleashedMajin Buu. Ultimately, Goku gained a slight advantage over Majin Vegeta, prompting him to feign a truce long enough to catch Goku off-guard to defeat him.

With just transforming intoSuper Saiyan 3, Goku causes worldwide earthquakes with Tien worrying Goku could destroy the planet by the sheer weight of his power. Against Buu, despite the Majin's limitless resilience and unpredictable nature, Super Saiyan 3 Goku could fight on par with and continuously pressure him. Ultimately, Goku admitted to be holding back considerably as Super Saiyan 3's intensity was draining Goku's time in the Living World and probably could have defeated the fat Majin if he tried to. Later, Goku horrified Shin and Kibito when he lifted and swung theZ Swordwith only minor difficulty. Likewise, he effortlessly threw a massive boulder to test Gohan's might with the sword.

In the anime, Goku manages to hold his own againstSuper Buu(Gotenks absorption) as Super Saiyan 3. Once Gotenks' time-limit ended, reverting the warrior back into two, Buu's reduced might left sure he could defeat Buu in base form. Once facing Gohan-absorbed Buu, Goku swiftly looked to fusing with someone, eventually getting the semi-revived Vegeta to help after being calmly decimated by Buu despite their combined assault. Inside Buu after being absorbed, Goku fend offfake Gohan(who mimicked Gohan'sPotential Unleashedpower) as Super Saiyan for an extended period of time. Super Saiyan 2 Goku could also blast a hole through Super Buu's body despite his microscopic size, impressing Buu. Later, Super Saiyan 2 Goku fended off Kid Buu for an extended period of time, even parting a mountain with his bare fists. Once using Super Saiyan 3, Goku initially pressured the Majin until he began tiring against Buu's near-limitless healing. It was noted that his full power could wipe out the Majin. However, he had trouble gathering the necessary energy since his living body hadn't adapted to the form yet. Regardless, his performance left Vegeta acknowledging Goku as the strongest Saiyan.

Six months later, in the manga, Super Saiyan Goku defeats both Final Form Frieza and Super Perfect Cell in a few blows during hisimage training, and then faces down Kid Buu. In the anime, upon meeting base Goku, Beerus highly doubts Goku could defeat Frieza. When fighting Beerus, Goku's performance up to Super Saiyan 2 bore Beerus as he casually dodged his assault. Although in the manga, Beerus fully believed Goku now that Goku defeated Frieza. When using Super Saiyan 3, Goku's power impressed Beerus and Whis, albeit he was still utterly defeated by two playful strikes from Beerus. After Goku attainedSuper Saiyan God, Goku is strong enough to face Beerus and inflict some damage, to which their fight caused the universe to start crumbling from the massive energy they exerted. After Super Saiyan God form's time limit ended in the anime, Goku reverted to Super Saiyan, but was still able to compete against Beerus as he managed to absorb the godly power. In both versions, Goku managed to destroy Beerus'Sphere of Destruction, though it used up all of his power to do so. Despite the loss, Goku's performance prompted Beerus to spare Earth.

While Goku trained under Whis, in the anime, Whis noted that Goku was only on the lowest levels of godly power. At this point, base Goku could survive an unrestrainedkiblast from Beerus. Later in the manga, Goku's progress enabled him to access his godlykiwithout using Super Saiyan God and slightly pressure Whis into fighting back, able to quickly rebound from his attacks and catch Whis off-guard enough to muss up Whis' hair while dodging Goku's strike. This ultimately made Whis put enougheffort to subude Goku, with a single hand. In the anime, base Goku and Final Form Frieza fighting was noted byKrillinand Gohan to move too fast to be seen, while they had previously saw Super Saiyan God Goku and Beerus' movements. Also, Goku pressured Frieza in his strengthened true form, whose first form easily defeated Super Saiyan Gohan.^[165]Despite then revealingSuper Saiyan Blue, Goku was completely outmatched by the tyrant's newGolden form. Instead, Goku had to endure a prolonged beatdown until Frieza tired out from lack of proper control in his new form.

During theTournament of Destroyersin the anime, base Goku was noted to move so fast that Krillin could not even see his movements as he foughtBotamo. It is said by Champa that Goku after filling up too much on food is as strong as Goku with the heavy weighted clothing he wore on Beerus' planet and thus Botamo is able to outmatch him until he warms up. In his base form, he held his own against Second FormFrost. With Super Saiyan, Goku dominated Final Form Frost and was only defeated by Frost cheating. AgainstHit, base Goku held his own and began pressuring Hit as he adapted to the hisTime-Skipassault. In the anime, his Super Saiyan Blue overwhelmed the assassin's full power. This forced Hit toimprint and improvehis battle prowess to counter Goku. This forced Goku to usex10 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken, letting him outmatch the assassin's improved Time-Skip. In the manga, Super Saiyan Goku outmatched Hit until Hit's tactics retained more stamina than Goku. Super Saiyan God Goku was on par with Hit's full power and immune to the Time-Skip. With Super Saiyan Blue, Goku broke theTime-Skipcompletely. However, Goku admitted that Hit's skills are best-suited to killing and thus held back to not break tournament rules.

Later in the anime, when facingGoku Black, Goku took his evil look-alike's first blast unfazed in base form. Using Super Saiyan 2, he fought on par with Black, who previously dominatedFuture Trunksin the same form. The fight ultimately left Black battered and in awe at Goku's might, while Goku remained basically unharmed. When Super Saiyan 2 Goku fightsZamasu,Gowasunotes that Goku's power is in the same realm as Beerus', having gradually overwhelmed Zamasu and defeating him, although Beerus is offended by this statement. Later in the anime, Super Saiyan Blue Goku fought on par withSuper Saiyan RoséBlack, occasionally outmaneuvering him, but was critically hurt by Black'sBlack Kamehamehawhile held down by Future Zamasu. During the third battle in the anime, upon learning Black killed his family in the previous timeline, despite the hole in his chest, an enraged Goku overwhelmed Black andFuture Zamasusimultaneously. However, once letting his guard down and Black recovered, he critically wounded Goku. Later, Goku was at first completely overpowered even with Vegeta, but defeated the fused Kai in an energy clash. Goku also proceeded to briefly overwhelm Fused Zamasu using his Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken in the anime despite his injured arms, and in the manga overwhelm the fused god usingPerfected Super Saiyan Blue.

Later in the anime, while preparing for Hit's arrival, Goku honed his mind and energy to such intensity that he could perceive virtually everything in the area, destroyed Bulma's speeding car that crashed into him while he remained unfazed, and even overcame his natural fear of Bulma's temper to dodge her striking him. Once Goku faced Hit again, he was overwhelmed by Hit's new skillset, but mainly due to Hit's ability to phase through attacks. During the second round, Goku quickly realized the truth of Hit's improved abilities and adjusted, able to overpower the assassin with only Super Saiyan Blue, noting that Hit's Time-Skip techniques would no longer affect him. To his point, Goku's sheer energy shattered Hit'sTides of Timepocket dimension. Ultimately, the fight ended in a stalemate.

At the start of theUniverse Survival Saga, Goku's was able make Whis fight with some effort, as he used his staff and energy blasts against Goku, albeit Goku required Super Saiyan to handle the latter. Later, with Super Saiyan Blue, Goku was able to actually harm Whis while weighed down by the Gravity Room. Although it was through the obscure method of biting the angel, he then followed up with throwing Whis, who still landed gracefully.

In the anime, during theZen Exhibition Match, base Goku matchedBergamo, the strongest warrior ofUniverse 9. With Super Saiyan, he easily outpaced the giant Bergamo before easily defeated him with Super Saiyan Blue, to which the gathered deities noted that Goku's power rivaled the gods. Immediately afterwards, Super Saiyan Blue Goku fought againstToppo, aUniverse 11candidate for the God of Destruction, and gradually overwhelmed his opponent. In the manga, while watching the Zen Exhibition Match between all 12 Destroyers, base Goku stayed conscious fromRumsshi'sBattle Roar, which knocked out all theSupreme Kaispresent. When fighting Toppo in the extra match, Goku's Super Saiyan 1 to 3 were each easily overwhelmed by the Pride Trooper. Using Super Saiyan God, Toppo had to unleash his godlykito fight evenly with Goku. Once Goku used Perfected Super Saiyan Blue and attacked, Toppo countered Goku and won by ring out. Still, Toppo complimented Goku's strength, noting that he would have been defeated if hit by that blow. Also, it was later noted that Goku underestimated Toppo and wasn't fighting seriously in that final exchange.

During recruitment forTeam Universe 7in the anime, base Goku matched the highly strengthened Shape-UpGood Buubut is defeated by ring out. When recruitingAndroid 17, who powered up massively since facing Cell, the two fought on par (Goku used Super Saiyan Blue in the anime and Super Saiyan 3 in the manga). During a tag-team match against Piccolo and Gohan with Tien, Goku manages to hold off aHyper Explosive Demon Wavefrom Piccolo and fight evenly with Ultimate Gohan. Against Gohan's Potential Unleashed state, Goku could compete with Super Saiyan 2. Once Gohan used his full power, Goku fought on par with Super Saiyan Blue and then used the Kaio-ken to defeat Gohan instantly. When discussing recruiting Frieza for the Tournament of Power, Goku was confident he could defeat Frieza if he betrayed them. In the anime, base Goku withstood Sidra'sEnergy of Destruction, though unable to get control over it, requiring Beerus' aid. Then, Goku faced Frieza to see who could land the first blow. While Frieza greatly increased both power and control of it from constantimage trainingsince hissecond death, Super Saiyan Blue Goku scored a simultaneous knockout against Golden Frieza, to which Whis noting that they were equal in power. In the manga, Goku has longer fight with Frieza that ends with both being equally battered.

Alongside Vegeta and Frieza, Goku is seen as one of the trump cards for Universe 7's potential victory in the Tournament of Power.

During theTournament of Power, Goku easily fended off baseGanos. He was unable to get free ofNink's grip, needing to turn Super Saiyan Blue to free himself. Base Goku held his own against theTrio De Dangers. Once he turned Super Saiyan, he was able to easily knockChappilandComfreyout of the arena with a Ki Blast. When the Trio de Dangers charged theirTriangle Danger Beam, Goku and Vegeta turned Super Saiyan Blue and overpowered the beam with aFinal Kamehameha, knocking the Trio out of the arena in the process. Whilst fightingCauliflain herSuper Saiyan Third Gradestate, Goku easily outmatched her as Super Saiyan. As Super Saiyan 2, he matches Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla in combat.

In the anime, whenKaleperceived Caulifla as abandoning her because of her interest at Goku's power, Kale's rage unleashedLegendary Super Saiyanon Goku. While Kale's raw might was considerably ahead of Goku and bashed him about, Super Saiyan 2 Goku's skill and resilience allowed him to defend and hold his own from the berserker's assault. Goku turned Super Saiyan Blue and fired aGod Kamehamehaat Kale, however she walked through unfazed. Despite this nearly one-sided battle in Kale's favor, Goku still showed no damage. In the manga, when watching Legendary Super Saiyan Kale brutalize Golden Frieza, Perfected Super Saiyan Blue Goku steps in, surprising Kale by effortlessly catching her strike and repelling her with a single kick, despite it causing her no harm. As Kale summons more power and launches an assault on Goku, the Universe 7 Saiyan struggles to defend against it. Ultimately, Kale breaks through his guard and goes in for a massive strike, only for Frieza to kick him out of the way.

Later in the anime, base Goku withstood Toppo'sJustice Flashand held his own againstTupperandZoiraybut was unable to move when Tupper used his increased weight on him. In the manga base Goku fended offKahseral,Vuon,Kunshi, Tupper, and Zoiray but was pinned down by Tupper's weight. Using Super Saiyan, easily lifted the heavy foe up and threw him aside. Goku then proceeded to outmatch the five Pride Troopers, easily defending and countering their blows before taking them down with his own. He then proceeds to fend offToppoandDyspowith Super Saiyan 2, openly saying he wants to face a stronger foe. However, once Dyspo begins using his full speed, Goku is pushed on the defense, practically pinned by the duo's assault until using Super Saiyan Blue.

Later in the anime, base Goku struggled somewhat againstRozieyet consistently blocks her attacks. However, this constant defensive tactic was revealed to simply let Goku better learn and see through Rozie'sfighting style, quickly breaking through her technique and overwhelming her, forcing her to retreat. With Super Saiyan God, Goku initially struggled againstDyspo, however after he read his movements, he matched The Sonic Warrior in combat. AsSuper Saiyan Blue, Goku took no damage fromKunshi's explosive threads and easily overpowered him. As Super Saiyan, Goku was unable to get out ofMaji Kayo's grip, however once he turned Super Saiyan Blue, he immediately freed himself. Base Goku matchesRibriannein combat, however his attacks unfazed her. As Super Saiyan Blue, Goku easily knocked away Super Ribrianne.

Jiren, a mortal warrior surpassing any God of Destruction's might, viewed Goku as one of the only warriors he was required to defeat at the tournament. In the manga, Goku seemingly Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, easily repelling Toppo with the sheer release of his energy and showed increased proficiency with Instant Transmission to repeatedly move around so quickly and randomly. However, Goku in said form were repeatedly swatted away with ease by the titanic foe, easily countering Goku's assaults. Ultimately, Jiren became more impressed with Goku seeing through his tactics, complementing Goku's perceptive nature. In the anime, base Goku's Kamehameha couldn't get pass Jiren's sheerki. Strikes from Goku at Super Saiyan levels 1 and 2 completely unfazed Jiren. Super Saiyan God Goku made Jiren start blocking, but with one finger. Super Saiyan Blue Goku made Jiren fight back - even managing to knock back Jiren and needing to dodge Goku's Kamehameha. However, once putting more effort, Goku was quickly pummeled, even with X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken, however Goku was able to stay on the ring after being hit by the Power Impact. X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken Goku's usage of theUniverse 7's Spirit Bombcould clash with Jiren briefly, but was ultimately overpowered. When the Spirit Bomb collided with Goku, his willpower reacted to absorb it and unlock a deeper part of his potential forUltra Instinct -Sign-. In this state, Goku'skishook the entireWorld of Void, a realm of infinite size. Against Toppo and Dyspo, henonchalantly blocked their simultaneous assault and dodged the former's Justice Flash. Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku then fought on par with and eventually pushed back Jiren, landing solid blows that rattled the fighter and shocked the spectating gods. However, Goku's new form soon proved underdeveloped and faded away, letting Jiren swiftly end the battle.

Later, despite still being very exhausted and battered, base Goku fended off a three-way assault fromKoitsukai,PanchiaandBollarator. Against Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla, despite not yet regaining enough stamina to even go Super Saiyan, his incredible skill allowed him to hold his own against Caulifla. Once managing to use Super Saiyan 2 himself, Goku gained a decided advantage over her. This prompted Caulifla to get help fromSuper SaiyanKale. Despite the two-on-one battle, Goku was still kept his ground, taking their various attacks with only minor pain. Once showing Super Saiyan 3 for a brief moment, the two Universe 6 Saiyans were left in awe at it. As Kale learned to harness her absolute power intoSuper Saiyan 2and synchronized her attacks with Caulifla, Goku was completely on the defense, but still held his own and rejected Frieza's offer to help. With Super Saiyan God, he easily on both Universe 6 Saiyans, pressuring Kale while overwhelming and battering Caulifla, forcing them to fuse after Caulifa was severely damaged and unable to continue fighting. While initially overwhelmed as Super Saiyan God, Goku held his own long enough to use Super Saiyan Blue. While matching Kefla's might, Goku's still diminished stamina forced him to use Kaio-ken to compensate. Ultimately, his battered state let him get knocked out with a single kick to the neck. Before he could be eliminated, Goku re-enters Ultra Instinct -Sign- and completely outclasses Super Saiyan 2 Kefla, calmly evading her assaults and likewise pummeling her even as she entered a Strengthened Super Saiyan 2 state. When Kefla unleashed her last-ditch final attack, Goku naturally dodged her barrage of blasts and knocked Kefla out of the arena with aImperfect Instinct Kamehameha.

Afterwards, despite once again being extremely exhausted from using Ultra Instinct -Sign-, he fended offZarbuto,Rabanra, andZirloinof Universe 2 simultaneously. While initially overwhelmed by the intense gravity from the Formation State trio's Pretty Black Hole, which Goku noted was much greater than the Capsule Corp's gravity room, Goku regained his footing in his base form (while 17 and 18 were stuck kneeling), turn Super Saiyan Blue and eliminate the three from Universe 2. Base Goku took no damage fromDamon's blindsiding attacks, though he needed to block Damon's punches. His punches could also rupture the arena, upturning a stretching length of the area near him, making it impossible for Damon to get proper footing and allowing Android 17 to eliminate the diminutive Universe 4 opponent. Base Goku held his own against Team Universe 3, even after his movements have been analyzed. Against Koichiarator, Goku and Vegeta turned Super Saiyan Blue and held their own against the fused warrior, even matching Koichiarator's beam with a Kamehameha and a Galick Gun. Against Anilaza, as Super Saiyan God, Goku was overwhelmed by the giant warrior, almost being knocked out, but was saved by Frieza. While carelessly kicked by the tyrant, Goku noted that the blow barely fazed him. Together with the remaining four allies, they managed to eliminate Anilaza.

During the final confrontation with Team Universe 11, fully recovered, Goku's improved strength impressed Jiren. With only Super Saiyan Blue, Goku fought better than previously, managing to seemingly fight on even grounds with Jiren, cheerfully fend off nearly all of Jiren's attacks while landing some of his own. His performance even made the normally silent foe ask Goku what drives him to get so strong. However, when Jiren showed even more of his true power, Goku was once again pushed back. Accepting that he couldn't defeat Jiren in an exchange of blows, Goku instead used a series of methodical diversion tactics that completely caught Jiren off guard, nearly eliminating the foe. This promoted Jiren to use the most strength he has ever been seen using. While Jiren succeed to initially pummel Goku, the Saiyan was able to endure the assault. Then, teaming up with Vegeta, the two attacked Jiren in their respectiveoverlimit states, initially pressuring their foe. In an effort to defeat Jiren, Goku is able to fend off Jiren long enough to break through his defenses and secure a full-nelson lock for Vegeta to attack. Jiren however easily breaks free and swats Goku away. Upon Jiren unleashing his full power, Goku, alongside Vegeta and Android 17, were overwhelmed by Jiren, who repelled their assaults with only moderate difficulty.

In the final one-on-one confrontation against Jiren, despite gaining Vegeta's energy, Super Saiyan Blue Goku is still easily overwhelmed by Jiren who knocks him back into base form with a single punch. He is then effortlessly pummeled, barely staying on his feet. Ultimately, his friends' feelings reaching him mixed with his disdain at Jiren lack of trust in others let Goku unlock Ultra Instinct -Sign- again, effortlessly evading Jiren's next assault at unseen speed and calmly landed a blow that left Jiren momentarily reeling in pain. This performance left all the watching deities openly acknowledged Goku's capacities. In their following exchange, Goku proved able to fight evenly with the foe, dodging and blocking his attacks, as it was noted that Goku's reflexes have become sharper than before. Despite this, Goku's attacks are still undecisive, leaving him unable to fully use Ultra Instinct. Goku's Kamehameha also proves to be ineffective against Jiren, who blocks it easily, leaving Goku drained again from his incomplete state.

However, as Vegeta noted Goku's potential growth, Belmond and Khai grew concerned about the truth behind Vegeta's words. This, along with Vegeta's words of encouragement made Goku recompose himself and repel Jiren's next attack with a burst of energy. Following this, Goku began to fully understand Whis' teachings of self-movement, forgoing self-doubt and letting his body resonate from the battle to more properly use Ultra Instinct in all aspects, allowing him to gradually pressure Jiren. Eventually, Jiren had Goku cornered. While Goku's blocked Jiren's relentless strikes with just his energy, Jiren's attacks began destroying the arena around Goku. Channeling his feelings into his attacks, Goku was able to counter Jiren's strikes to neutralize the impact before breaking through to hit Jiren hard. As Goku's growingkilit up the entire area, Jiren acknowledging Goku's threat and unleashed a massive Power Impact. In response, finally honing his impulses, Goku mastered Ultra Instinct. Goku calmly caught and contained the blast before dispersing it. As Goku began easily dodging all of Jiren's attacks while simultaneously pummeling him, all the Gods of Destruction to stand in awe at Goku's growth, even gaining praise and envy from Beerus.

Goku's newfound power continued to calmly dominate Full Power Jiren, until the emotionally scarred foe remembered his past losses and used that grief to break well-past his previous limits. Despite this enormous boost of power, Ultra Instinct Goku still fought on par with Jiren, gradually pushing back Jiren. Once furious from Jiren attacking Team Universe 7, Goku's power skyrocketed again, seamlessly handling Jiren's attacks before decisively pummeling him into submission, ultimately leaving the battered foe to admit defeat. However, before Goku could finish the fight, Goku's body broke down from maintaining Ultra Instinct for too long, causing his energy to leak out radically and leave him in agony, causing him to revert back to base form.

Despite the grievous injuries he endured, through sheer will Goku returned to his feet, having gone well-beyond his limits, base Goku could compete against the battered Jiren alongside Frieza and backup from 17, impressing Jiren again. Ultimately, with the aid of Frieza, Goku - rapidly flashing between base and Super Saiyan - succeeded indragginghim off the arena alongside them. Accepting his defeat, Jiren admitted that it was from facing Goku that he reached such new levels of might, now desiring to face him again one day. Goku and Vegeta began sparring with each other again, fighting on par with Super Saiyan Blue respectively.

Ten years after Kid Buu's defeat, Goku's regularly training of Goten in sparring would consistently end with Goku's decisive victory. At the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, he felt certain that only Kid Buu's reincarnation,Uub, would be a challenge for him. As such, he had Good Buu rig the random draw to make sure he faces Uub first. After intentionally making the young boy angry enough, causing him to invoke his latent power as Kid Buu, Goku is quickly pressured by the enraged Uub. While Uub's power and efficiency continues to steadily grow, keeping pace with Goku, the Saiyan ultimately still calmly fends off Uub's assault, shocking Uub at how easily Goku brushes off the damage he inflicts on the larger foe. Ultimately, deciding that Uub's lack of control in even basickimanipulation made him not ready for a real fight against him.

Five years later inDragon Ball GT, Goku's true power is not shown as he is turned into a child by theBlack Star Dragon Ball, apart from fighting on par in base form with Uub, who later who could hold his own againstSuper Baby Vegeta 2. Still, Goku retains far greater strength than when he was truly a child and still much stronger than his allies.

While hunting for theBlack Star Dragon Balls, base Goku held his own againstLedgicbut was quickly overwhelm. Goku then used Super Saiyan to easily defeat Ledgic. AgainstCardinal Mutchy Mutchy, Goku struggled against theMachine Mutant's various attacks, requiring aid from Trunks to defeat him. AgainstLuud, the creature's great strength but little combat prowess let Goku hold his own against it. Once Luud reached full power, Goku and Trunks are barely able to hold their own as Super Saiyan. Ultimately, Goku is only able to defeat Luud by teaming with Pan absorbed inside Luud to strike at his weak point simultaneously.

Once arriving on Planet M2, theSigma Forceused a sneak attack to capture base Goku with no effort. After learning of Goku's true might,Rilldois amazed by it and has the Sigma Force used the data to strengthen their battle might. However, even fused, the Sigma Force is easily beaten by base Goku. He then overpowers base Rilldo, who is stated to have greater power than Kid Buu's. Once beating RIlldo's second form, Rilldo openly applauds Goku's might. Using Super Saiyan, Goku held his own against Rilldo's final form, but was eventually captured after being exhausted enough. While analyzing Goku's capacities, Rilldo awe-struck by the power he was giving off, even compared to the physically older Pan and Trunks.

WhenBabyconquered Earth, base Goku was able to defeat Gohan and Goten, both as Super Saiyans. simultaneously and breaking through a dimensional barrier. While Super Saiyan 3 Goku could compete against Super Saiyan Baby Vegeta, his child body couldn't keep up that form for more than a minute. After regaining his tail, while becoming much stronger and able to handle Super Saiyan 3 easily, he still couldn't compete against Super Baby 2. Once obtaining Super Saiyan 4 he fought on par with Golden Great Ape Baby, to which once he obtained full power, he proved much stronger and quickly defeated Baby.

Later, against Final Form Frieza and Super Perfect Cell, base Goku easily repelled the two dead foes, horrifying them at his might. When facing Super 17, Super Saiyan Goku fought on par against the android that all the Z Fighters combined were swiftly overpowered by (until he absorbed Goku's energy). Super Saiyan 4 Goku proved a match for Super 17 until more energy was absorbed. Against the firstthreeshadowdragonsrespectively, Goku was able to defeat them with only minor difficulty after overcoming their unique skills. AgainstNaturon ShenronGoku proved able to easily overwhelm the foe in his various merged states, only taking so long to defeat him from hesitation of killing Pan in the process.

AgainstNuova Shenron, base Goku held against the heat-powered foe while his hunger began draining his power. As Super Saiyan 4, Goku's raw might was on par with the transformed Nuova, but his hunger mixed with Nuova's blinding speed gave Nuova an advantage, leaving Goku on the defensive. Ultimately however, Goku defeats Nuova by outsmarting him. AgainstEis ShenronSuper Saiyan 4 Goku proved to be able to easily handle the foe, even as both his arms were frozen. Once adapting to theIce RaysGoku easily broke free of the ice, horrifying Eis into submission. While blinded by a sneak-attack from Eis, which halved his power, Goku swiftly defeated the devious Shadow Dragon. Later against Syn Shenron, the strongest of the Shadow Dragons, using Super Saiyan 4 at full power easily overwhelmed the enemy. Furthermore, usingDragon Fist, he obliterated Syn on his Omega state. After undergoing a mysterious change, Goku was cloaked in an aura that stopped even Omega Shenron's attacks from having any effect on him.^[166]

InDead Zone, Goku simultaneously fended off all three ofGarlic Jr.'s henchmen in their respective Super forms with only minor even . AsGingerandNickyeach unleashed a pair of blades on Goku, he managed to counter their assaults wit his Power Pole before ultimately defeating them. He then held his own against Super Garlic Junior. Once removing his weigthed clothing and teaming up with Piccolo, the duo were able to overwhelm the immortal foe..

InThe World's Strongest, faces off againstDr. Kochin'sBio-Warriors. During which, Goku nimbly gets through the various defense systems unleashed on him and defeatedMisokatsunby plowing through his extremely stretchable and force-absorbing body. AgainstKishimeandEbifuryaGoku is able to adapt to the teleporting patterns of the former and repel the later's ice blasts, quickly defeating them simultaneously. Goku then manages to defeatDr. Wheelo's massive robotic form with a x3 Kaio-ken.

InThe Tree of Might, Goku's power is stated to be 30,000, effortlessly defeating all of Turles' henchmen in each scuffle before simultaneously repelling their group assault and defeating them all with a single blow each. Against Turles, the evil Saiyan was visibly alarmed at Goku's power, to which he initially outmaneuvered and drove back the evil Saiyan enough to pressure him into eating one of the Tree of Might's fruits to gain the advantage. While unable to even compete against the empowered Turles with a x20 Kaio-ken, utilizing his Spirit Bomb training, Goku harnesses energy from theTree of Mightto instantly form a much stronger Spirit Bomb to defeat Turles.

InLord Slug, Goku effortlessly defeatedMedamatchaandAngila. He killed the former with a single punch despite being drained of energy from the foe's mini-clones, which Goku effortlessly incinerated. He then killed the latter with a blast that simultaneously overwhelmed the foe's mouth blast. While Goku's power impressedSlug, during their initial battle, Goku was completely outclassed by the tyrant. Once becomes aPseudo Super Saiyan, he completely overwhelms Slug and broke his arm, forcing him to rely on his Great Namekian form. However, he still fended off Slug's assault. Once gaining additional energy from Piccolo, he was able to handle a x100 Kaio-ken to effortlessly plow through Slug.

InCooler's Revenge, Goku fights offCooler's Armored Squadronall at the same time and survived a Darkness Eye Beam byCooler. Once healing and gaining a power boost from Saiyan Power, he is virtually unfazed and unmoved bySalza's sneak attack, who is then easily repelled by Goku's power up. Goku then fought just ahead of Cooler's true form. While base Goku was dominated by Fifth Form Cooler with Kaio-ken x20, Goku's Super Saiyan outclassed Cooler, unfazed by Cooler's solid punch to his gut and likewise left Cooler staggering from inflicting two blows. Ultimately, he even managed to overpower Cooler's Supernova and launch it along with Cooler into the sun.

InThe Return of Cooler, base Goku held his own against a Meta-Cooler but unable to cause actual damage even when using the Kaio-ken. To which, as Super Saiyan, he was able to greatly damage the robot duplicate. However, the self-adapting robot quickly repairing and improve itself to overwhelm Goku, forcing Goku to rely on Vegeta's aid to defeat it. Against the Meta-Cooler Core, Goku and Vegeta's energy overwhelmed the computer system, escaping their confines. Once freed, Goku launched an energy ball powerful to destroy Cooler and the Big Gete Star

InBroly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, base Goku fought on par with therestrained Super Saiyan, drawing blood from a solid blow to Broly's face. Against Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, despite the one-sided beatdown everyone received from Broly, Goku was the only one able to endure the assault long enough to gain energy from his allies, which allowed him to defeat Broly in a single blow.

InFusion Reborn, base Goku fended off Janemba's base form and swiftly obliterate the creature with Super Saiyan 3. Once Janemba reformed into a stronger form, Goku held his own for a prolonged period before ultimately being defeated.

InWrath of the Dragon, Super Saiyan 3 Goku could dodge and withstandHirudegarn's massive blows, to which Ultimate Gohan could not, before defeating the giant monster with hisDragon Fist.

InBattle of Gods, Beerus notes that base Goku is not strong enough to defeat Frieza. With Super Saiyan 3, which Beerus openly complimented, Goku punched through King Kai's planet despite its incredible density. However, he was still defeated by two playful flicks from Beerus. Later, Goku's power rises vastly when achievingSuper Saiyan God. At 80% in this godly state, Goku fought on par with Beerus using nearly 70% of his own power. After time ran out for his impromptu god form, despite returning to base form, Goku subconsciously absorbs the godly power, allowing him to continue using its power on top of Super Saiyan and even briefly return to his Super Saiyan God form without help. Ultimately, Goku is left exhausted from stopping Beerus'Sphere of Destruction, leaving Goku unable to continue fighting and thus lost. But the battle pleased Beerus enough to spare Earth. Beerus also lies that Goku is the second strongest he's ever faced, when he is actually the strongest.

InResurrection ‘F’, Goku through training masters his godly power and use it fully in without transforming as a God-like Saiyan. In this state, he becomes stronger than Fourth Form Frieza despite unlocking his true potential and fully mastering it. Going further, Goku obtainsSuper Saiyan Blue, which despite Golden Frieza's huge advantage in power, Goku could hold offGolden Friezalong enough to tire out the tyrant, regaining the advantage. Whis asserts that Goku and Vegeta were strong enough that if they were to fight together, they would be an "unstoppable force" and would be able to go toe to toe with Beerus - it is implied that Whis was referring to fusion, as when talking about working with Goku, Vegeta states he only did it once with Goku and never wishes to do so again (and indeed later when Vegito Blue appears inSuperhe is noted to be comparable to Beerus).

InSuper Dragon Ball Heroes, during training with Whis, the angel complemented his improved performance. Later, upon arriving on thePrison Planet, Goku meets his alternate timeline self,Goku: Xeno, who attacksFuwithSuper Saiyan 4. Unaware of the situation, Goku intercepts his counterpart's assault with Super Saiyan Blue. In the manga, Goku blocks the attack in base form before transforming into Super Saiyan Blue after seeing Goku: Xeno's Super Saiyan 4 might. The two Gokus fight evenly, both in trading blows and Kamehameha clashes. Afterwards, Goku expresses great interest in Goku: Xeno's Super Saiyan 4. Later, when Goku'skiwas corrupted byKanba's presence, Goku transformed into Super Saiyan: Berserk. Super Saiyan: Berserk Goku is able to knock down Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta (though does not appear damaged). When Super Saiyan: Berserk Goku blasts at Future Mai, base Future Trunks barely manages to block it. Against Cooler, the foe is forced to unleash his Golden Form on top of his Fifth Form and use his strongest attack against Super Saiyan: Berserk Goku.

As a baby, Goku had a power level of 2, which is very low for even a low-level Saiyan. By age 11, his power was 10. Great Ape Goku was described as having destructive power similar to that of a battleship's main gun.^[3]In the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku's power became 180. After drinking the Ultra Divine Water to combat King Piccolo, Goku's power level increased to 260. During his battle with Frieza on Namek, Goku's power leaps to 3,000,000 thanks to Saiyan Power.

The movie pamphlet forDragon Ball Z: The Tree of Mightstates that Goku's power level duringDragon Ball Z: World's Strongestis 10,000. According to author Akira Toriyama, duringBattle of Gods, in terms of power, Goku as Super Saiyan God would be a 6, Beerus would be a 10, and Whis would be a 15.^[167]

It was stated inDaizenshuuthat during his battle with Piccolo Jr. that with his most powerful attack - the Super Kamehameha - is strong enough to shatter the moon.

According toWeekly Shonen Jump#20, Goku as Super Saiyan Blue inResurrection ‘F’has an "overwhelming power that the world has never seen before". Toyotaro considers Beerus and Whis to be an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the others, and Toriyama stated that he has no immediate plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass neither Beerus or Whis.^[169]

As a Saiyan, Goku possesses a vast array of superhuman physical attributes, which he has trained to God-like levels through years of rigorous training.

• Superhuman Strength: As a Saiyan, Goku possesses immense physical strength, far more advanced than that of any human being, and most alien races. He is strong enough to effortlessly break all Earthling-made materials or weapons, move in increased gravity without any discomfort, and even lift a suit capable of sinking through a planet. His physical strength is so great he can harm beings like 100% Final Form Frieza (who can survive a planet explosion while weakened) and as of now, can attack with enough potecy of a universal scale.
• Superhuman Speed: Goku can move/react at least as fast as Beerus, who's shown massively faster than light speeds and fly at hypersonic speeds, enabling him to travel great distances in short periods of time, or move at "untrackable" speeds while in combat.
• Superhuman Durability: Goku's body is far more durable than that of normal human beings, being essentially invulnerable to all Earthling-made weapons. His durability is so great that he can survive universal force of energy. However, while naturally durable thanks to his Saiyan physiology, he does have limits, as other powerful beings as himself can hurt, and potentially kill him, if he does not defend himself correctly, and when purposely lowering his guard and ki to protect him, even an ordinary energy gun shot, was capable of leaving him near death.
• Superhuman Senses: Goku is able to think and react at extremely high speeds, easily able to dodge or catch projectiles fired from weapons, or even keep up with incredible combat speeds from his opponents. As a Saiyan, Goku also has enhanced senses of smell, taste and sight, which further increase his combat senses and instincts.
• Powerful Lungs– Thanks to his physiology, Goku possesses powerful lungs, being even able to breathe in the stratosphere while fighting Beerus.

Energy Abilities[]

Goku has a great mastery over his Ki, the natural life force every being possess, and uses it to increase his fighting abilities.

• Flight– The ability to take flight through the manipulation ofki. However, as a Saiyan, Goku already possesses the innate ability to fly, which later in adulthood, he'd show to completely dominate. InDragon Ball Fusions, Kid Goku from the time he was training under Kami manages to somehow learn how to fly usingkiand demonstrates the same proficiency at flying that his future adult self does.
• KiSense– The ability to sense the energy of other beings. Goku acquired the ability after drinking theUltra Divine Water, but was unable to use it to home in on an opponent's location until he trained withMr. Popo. He can also hide hiskito prevent someone else senses his.
• KiTransfer– Goku can grant some of his energy to a wounded person to restore some of their energy.
• Godly Ki mastery– Goku can change the nature of his Ki to that of the gods, increasing his power drastically. With the Godly Ki, Goku gains access to god-level transformations such as theSuper Saiyan Godand theSuper Saiyan Blue.
  • Regeneration- Super Saiyan God Goku is able to regenerate by pouring his godlykiinto his wounds.
• Energy Nullification– During his battle with Beerus, Goku learned how to nullify the negative damaging effects of their clash.

Mental Abilities[]

• Genius of Combat– Goku is able to prepare ingenious strategies when it comes to fighting. On more than one occasion, he was able to defeat opponents he was no match at first by using the correct tactics. In addition, Goku himself states and proved that techniques used against him cannot work more than once, because he can adapt to them find their weak points.
• Mimicry: Goku is capable of instantly learning techniques performed by other fighters after seeing them only ones. He most famously learned Master Roshi'sKamehameha(who took him 50 years to develop), as well as other techniques such asDrunken BoxingandAfterimage Technique. He later learned to performKing Chappa'sEight-Arm Fist, and (in theDragon Ball Supermanga) was even able to use a lesser version of Beerus'Hakai.

• Telepathy– A way to communicate with others using one's mind. Users can also read the minds of the ones they communicate with, similar to telepathic eavesdropping. During his time withKing Kai, Goku learned this ability and taught himself how to read the minds of others, by placing his palm on their head.
• Ultra Instinct– A highly advanced mental state. Goku gradually learned this from training under Whis. During theTournament of Power, Goku unlocked aspecial state andmastered it, enabling him to put to usage Whis' teachings. Using Ultra instinct, Goku's physical and mental parameters are vastly augmented, providing him with not only equally increased combat performance, but also gives him access to the Ultra Instinct ability, allowing him to instinctively dodge and attack any nearby threat in the most effective way possible. Despite the usefulness of this ability, Goku can only access it as a subconscious reaction to the most dire of situations.

• Healing– It allows the user to heal another being's wounds and restore them to somewhat full strength.
• Energy Absorption- The ability to absorb the power from aki-based attack.
• Telekinesis– A technique that allows the user to manipulate objects and other people with the power of one's mind.
• Sealing Spell– A spell capable of sealing an entity in any kind of object. Goku uses this againstDr. RaichiinDragon Ball Z Gaiden: Shin Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku - Uchū-Henusing a sealing tag he obtained on the first planet he visited in the game.

• KiBlast– The most basic form ofenergy wave.
• Finger Beam- The user holds out their index finger and releases an energy beam from their fingertip.

• Kiai– A technique where the user affects the air currents around him withkito produce powerful shockwaves in order to strike the opponent at mid range.
  • Spirit Shot– A two-handed energy technique in which the user stretches their arms out and blows the opponent(s) away with dual Kiai blasts.
  • Invisible Eye Blast– a Kiai technique shot from the eyes.
  • Soaring Fist– A powerful Kiai fist performed inUltraInstinct.
• Destructo Disc– a razor-sharp disc ofKithat can slice through almost any substance.
  • Destructo Disc Hexa Blade- The user fires what appears to be a single Destructo Disc, which ends up splitting into five separate discs to home in on the foe multiple times.
• Explosive Wave- A technique where the user bursts outkifrom all over their body in order to repel the opponents around them.
• Super Explosive Wave- A powerful energy explosion attack and is a more powerful version of the Explosive Wave.
• Spirit Bomb– Users of the Spirit Bomb gather huge amounts of energy from all chosen surrounding life forms and inanimate objects to conduct that energy into a massive sphere of astounding destructive power.
  • Fusion Spirit Bomb– A normal Spirit Bomb formed with the energy gathered and then granted to someone else to use it.
  • Large Spirit Bomb– A larger and more powerful version of the Spirit Bomb, in which Goku stores the energy in the form of a giant light blue energy sphere in the sky.
  • Instant Spirit Bomb- A combination of the Instant Transmission and Spirit Bomb.
  • Super Spirit Bomb– a larger and more powerful version of the Large Spirit Bomb, which is directly powered by the energy of the living beings and Goku needs them to raise their hands to accumulate their energy.
  • Universe 7's Spirit Bomb– A Super Spirit Bomb powered by every member ofTeam Universe 7(exceptVegeta).
  • Instant Spirit Bomb– A combination of the Instant Transmission and Spirit Bomb in hisSuper Saiyan Full Power form.
  • Universal Spirit Bomb– The final and most powerful version of the Spirit Bomb that draws its phenomenal power from energy sources across all of Universe 7.
• Hakai– In theDragon Ball Super manga, Goku learned to perform the Destruction technique after having seen Beerus use it. Due to not having the proper training no might, Goku requires to put all of hisdivine blue aurainto his hand and release it at once, making it a one-time use attack which will leave him fully drained. Goku's usage is also not as effective as a God of Destruction's. As a result, Goku's usage requires more time to complete and his constant focus, enabled Fused Zamasu to useFuture Maias a shield, preventing Goku from completing the attack.

• Solar Flare– The user places their hands close to the center of their face with the fingers spread toward their eyes. The user then calls out the name of the technique, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except the user, since they are projecting the light.
• Give Me Energy!- Lifting up his hands towards the sky, Goku concentrates on drawing a massive amount of energy above his head. However, it takes time to draw it in, leading Goku to be wide open and stuck in place for several seconds. It is used in combination with the Spirit Bomb, drastically increasing its already great power.

• Suspended Blast– The one handed energy attack used to threatenSupreme Kai. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
• Power up to the Very Limit– ABlast 1technique which allows the user to instantly regain all of theirki, puts them at MAX Power, and increases all their stats.

• Evil Containment Wave– A technique designed to seal demons away by sucking them into a container with a special "Demon Seal" ofuda on it. The move requires huge stamina and endurance to perform, if user does not have enough life force they will die soon after performing it, despite the success of the technique.
• Energy Shield– A technique used to generate an energy shield around the user to protect them from attacks.
• Energy Landmine– Goku drops from his hands small energy spheres that explode at contact. It was first used against Jiren as a distraction.

• Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper– In the original version, the user shouts "Jan Ken", then a name corresponding to the attack: "Gu", equals rock and will be a strong punch. "Chyoki", equals scissors and will be a poke in the eyes. "Pa", equals paper and will be an open palm strike.
• Tail Attack– A technique used by those who havetailin order to attack their opponents. They can use it to whip or constrict the opponent. Goku uses this to break free fromTien Shinhan'sFour Witches Technique.
• Super God Fist– The user charges upkiin his hand, then launches forth with a punch to the opponent's face, dealing a large amount of damage.
  • Silver Dragon Flash– A more powerful version of Super God Fist used inUltra Instinct.
• Double Axe Handle– The user cups their hands together and reels back, then slams their fists on the opponent.
• Pressure Point Attack- A technique which, by touching or hitting weakly certain pressure points on an opponent's body, can incite effects such as paralysis or knock the opponent out. Enough prolonged pressure on the pressure points can also kill the opponent.
• Headshot- The raises his hand over his opponent's head, and proceeds to flick them on the forehead, knocking the enemy back several meters with no sign of effort while dealing a great amount of damage. Goku utilized technique against Beerus in order to get revenge on him for previously attacking him with it.
• Super God Shock Flash– Goku places hand with his index and middle fingers out near his opponents chest then makes a fist to deliver ahard punch to the opponent's gutthat blasts them away with a powerful shock-wave. Used by Goku against Golden Frieza inDragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’.
• Goku and Frieza's Finisher- Goku (who is flashing between his base form and Super Saiyan) and Frieza - who have both gone well beyond their limits - utilize a powered up Nova Strike to ram into their opponent in order to create a massive explosion.

• Dragonthrow– The user grabs his opponent's arm, leg, tail, or antenna, then he spins and throws them away. Named inDragon Ball Z: Budokai.
• Full-Nelson– The user puts their arms over their opponent's shoulders by going under the arm pits, making the opponent unable to move as freely as usual.

• Kaio-ken Finish– First, Goku charges at the opponent and kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up after the opponent and double axe-handle punches them down to the ground. Next, he powers up to his Kaio-ken technique as he charges down at the opponent and double-punches them in their back. Finally, Goku quickly lands on the ground and catches the opponent on their back before throwing them onto the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
• Kaio-ken Attack– Goku powers up to Kaio-ken x3 as he charges at the opponent and roundhouse kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up in the air and punches the opponent away. Next, he flies up over the opponent and down behind to double kick them further up into the air. Finally, Goku flies up into the air around the opponent and hook kicks them down into the ground, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
• Meteor Combination– First, Goku charges at the opponent and elbows them away. Then, he attacks the opponent with a powerful barrage of kicks and punches, ending with aheavy punchto their stomach. When the opponent lays on the ground paralyzed, Goku jumps up in the air and fires aSuper Kamehamehadown at the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
• Meteor Smash– Goku punches the opponent in the stomach. Then, he punches the opponent away and flies after them to right hook kick them in their face. Finally, Goku axe kicks the side of the opponent's head, knocking them away and inflicting a great deal of damage.
• Now I'm Really Mad!– Goku punches the opponent away with a left hook and hits them in the back with a Double Axe Handle, knocking them to the ground. Named inDragon Ball Z: Battle of Z.
• Can You Follow Me?– First, Goku teleports in front of the opponent and attacks with a strong left punch. He then attacks the opponent with several high-speed punches and kicks. Goku finishes the attack by knocking the enemy away with a left-hook kick, inflicting a huge amount of damage. Named inDragon Ball Z: Battle of Z.
• Unpolished Instinct- Goku launches a high-speed combination of punches and kicks, battering his target from all sides before kneeing them away. After following his combination up with a massive Kamehameha, Goku charges through the blast to deliver one final, devastating punch to his target.

• Eight-Arm Fist– A physical technique that involves its user moving their arms fast enough that they seemingly have eight of them, allowing them to attack and defend themselves much more efficiently. Used to counterTien Shinhan'sFour Witches Technique.
• Crazy Fist– A distraction technique used by Goku and designed to confuse and taunt the opponent. Pretending to be a wild uncontrollable dog or monkey, Goku catches his opponent off guard, and eventually knocks him out with a swift kick by jumping from behind. Goku uses this in reaction to Jackie Chun'sDrunken Fist.
• Tornado!– After calling the name of the attack, Goku spins while rushing on the opponent to attack him/her. Used againstNam.
• Wild Sense– A variation of theAfterimage Techniquethat allows the user to counterattack right after dodging the opponent's attack.

• Afterimage Technique– An ability to move so swiftly that an image of the user is left behind.
• Instant Transmission– A technique for traveling long distances instantly. This action is usually accompanied by the user placing his index and middle fingers on his forehead to help him concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid.
• Mid-Air Stop– While falling to the ground, Goku exhales his breath like an explosive blast to stop his decent. Goku uses this technique againstKing Chappain the 22ndWorld Martial Arts Tournamentpreliminaries.

• Tail-Helicopter Technique– Goku swings his tail in a circle fast enough to hover and fly freely. Used only once, in his fight against Jackie Chun in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
• Rapid Movement- Goku moves with great speed, which creates the illusion ofteleportation.
• Blast Fist– A powerful uppercut, causing explosions in its path, inflicting a large amount of damage. This technique is used inSuper Dragon Ball Z.
• Dragon Fist– Goku begins the attack by making a straight fist faced at his enemy, and charges him. Then once his fist, along with his own body, exits the stomach or chest of the target, the energy will be amplified massively compared to Goku's normal power and hiskiwill explode out in the form of an enormous golden dragon and then finally collides into the target, possibly destroying the opponent in its path or leaving a gaping hole.
  • Super Dragon Fist– A combination of the Dragon Fist and another technique (usually Spirit Bomb) used by Goku in his various Super Saiyan forms.
    • Final Strike- A weaker variant of the Super Dragon Fist. It is the energy of the Spirit Bomb used in a normal punch instead of a Dragon Fist.
  • Super Dragon Twin Fists– A two-handed version of the Dragon Fist.
• Dragon Hammer– a combination of the 10x Kamehameha and Dragon Fist used by Goku in his Super Saiyan 4 form or a combination of the God Kamehameha and Super God Fist used by Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken form.
• Double Tsuibikidan– A move where Goku fires an energy wave that targets his enemy.
• Ki Burst Sphere– Goku raises one hand in the air and creates a yellow sphere ofKi. Then he throws it at the opponent, causing the sphere to disappear into the opponent's body and create a brightly colored explosion.
• Saiyan Aura Blast– A yellow energy wave fired with one hand. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
• Spirit Shock– A double handed Kiai used by Goku against Baby-infected Gohan and Goten inDragon Ball GT. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.

• Crow Kick– The kick used by Super Saiyan 4 Goku against Naturon Shenron (Mole absorbed). Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
• Discharge– A rush attack used against theGinyu ForceinHellin the anime, after powering up. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
• Meteor Blast– First, Goku knees the opponent in their stomach and again in their face from above. Then, he roundhouse kicks the opponent away and teleports behind them to knee their back. Next, he turns around and backhand punches the opponent before back flipping in the air and descending to knee them in their stomach. Finally, Goku puts his hands forward and blasts the opponent away with a yellow energy wave, inflicting a huge amount of damage. Named inRaging Blast.
• Meteor Impact– Goku double kicks the opponent up into the air. Then, he rushes high into the air behind the opponent to double axe-handle punch and hook kick them down to the ground. Finally, Goku bends down and puts his hand over the opponent's face to blast them with a one-handed Kamehameha, inflicting a great deal of damage.
• Sword Breaker– The technique used to breakLedgic's sword. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.

• Dragon Break- A powerful kick attack. Used inBattle of Z.
• Dragon Smash- A rush used by Goku inBattle of Z.
• Miracle Blow- A powerful punch used by Goku to defeatBrolyinDragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan.
• Zanku Fist– Goku delivers a powerful physical rush and hit combination, seen inDragon Ball Z: BudokaiandDragon Ball Z: Budokai 2.
• Ginyu Fighting Pose: Technique (2)– Used when imitatingCaptain Ginyuat the beginning of their battle on Namek.
• Power Stance– A special fighting stance. Named in theDragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
