American GI Forum of Albuquerque Endowed Scholarship in Nursing

Award Amount: $500-$600
Recipients of the scholarship must be a full-time BSN, MSN or PhD College of Nursing student. First preference will be given to residents of Albuquerque or Rio Rancho, who are of Hispanic heritage and/or are a veteran. The recipients must be making satisfactory academic progress toward a degree, while maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or better.
HRSA Advanced Nursing Education Workforce Grant (ANEW)
Primary care nurse practitioner and nurse-midwifery students are eligible to apply for the ANEW award in the second year of their program. A 1954 School of Anderson alum, Mr. Firsty set up this fund to honor his wife, Ruth Firsty, whose lifelong career was a nurse. Scholarships are to be awarded to four L3 and four L4 students. The scholarship will follow them until they graduate.
