What are the benefits of a building a barndominium?

The benefits on price show up when the home has a large attached shop/garage. The larger the shop/garage the cheaper the over all price per sq ft.

For the barndominium with metal roofs and walls you are getting a very low maintenance home. We find that the majority of people building a barndominium are looking forward to the maintenance benefits of metal.

For those DIY home finishers who will do some of the finish work themselves having a metal building company erect the roof and some or all of the walls provides them a dried in area to work. And often the metal shell will be completely erected in a couple of weeks or less.
